# Install a package under a different name

To install an npm package under an alias:

```sh terminal icon="terminal" theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"dracula"}}
bun add my-custom-name@npm:zod
```

You can now import the `zod` package as `my-custom-name`.

```ts index.ts icon="https://mintcdn.com/bun-1dd33a4e-farm-1130affe-ioreader-safe-iteration/YdU-L-DvDTbHppxQ/icons/typescript.svg?fit=max&auto=format&n=YdU-L-DvDTbHppxQ&q=85&s=e8066e3c4fb5aa20e98bd3b2062ca4c8" theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"dracula"}}
import { z } from "my-custom-name";

z.string();
